What a month of October for Utah football! Utah moved to 6-1 after their big win over USC, Saturday night. The win also gives them a 3-1 conference record, their best since joining the league, but most importantly at the current point-in-time, the Utes are also now bowl eligible. That was something many fans and media were questioning as possible before the season, and the Utes have accomplished that through just 7 games!
In this latest edition of The U Fan Cast, we have a roundtable discussion on the events that happened last Saturday. We touched on what we thought were the plays of the game, there were two that were discussed (final TD and the 4th down stop). Travis Wilson was also a topic of conversation, and were any of us surprised Kendal Thompson didn't at least make an appearance. We also reevaluated our season expectations a little. Some of our staff had Utah at 6-6 and 5-7 on the season, where are some of our staff members standing now (after eating some crow)? We also preview ASU a little bit, a big game for Utah in the Pac-12, but a hard one to predict - even though most of us are going with the Utes, except for one of us - because they don't want to jinx them. Lastly, we touch on the Runnin' Utes, and their pre-season prediction of 2nd in the Pac-12 - a prediction we all thought was pretty spot on.
