Utah football had their last practice open to the media today before their game at Arizona State on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 9 PM MT.

The big topic in practice today was the loss of Dres Anderson. It was weird not seeing him with the other wide receivers. Other receivers will have to step up to fill the void due to losing Anderson.

Quarterbacks

Three quarterbacks saw playing time today: Travis Wilson, Kendal Thompson, and Conner Manning. Each quarterback had at least a few good plays in the scrimmage. I would give the nod to Wilson on having the best scrimmage, but the other two quarterbacks looked good as well.

Running backs

Devontae Booker did what he does, picking up tough yards. Bubba Poole had a few nice runs as well. Troy McCormick played some as well but did not do much of note.

Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

Freshman wide receiver Jameson Field had the catch of the day with his leaping catch. It was very impressive. Wide receivers Kenneth Scott and Andre Lewis both recorded catches. Tight ends Westlee Tonga and Siale Fakailoatonga both had catches as well.

It was a quiet day from the defense during the scrimmage.
