Utah landed a commitment from a talented prospect in the 2016 class today, four-star safety Micah Croom. Croom plays for Servite High School in Long Beach, Calif. Servite produces a lot of talent year in and year out. Utah is targeting another Servite player hard, four-star 2015 wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown. Croom is a soft commit right now to Utah, which is not surprising given how early it is in his recruitment. Utah is currently his only offer, but that list will grow extensively. Cornerbacks coach Sharrieff Shah has been his primary recruiter, and the relationship Croom has with Shah is a big part of why he chose to commit. In his film*, Croom shows the ability to tackle well in space and is not afraid to lay a hit on an opposing player. He has good instincts and showed solid ability in coverage as well. Keeping Croom will not be easy, but he has been high on Utah for awhile. He tweeted this after Utah's win over UCLA.
UTAH UTES AIN'T PLAYIN NO GAMES!!!!! #almost comm***ed tonight so proud of their performance.
