The Utah Volleyball team play their final regular season contest Friday at noon, as they take on the No 18 Colorado Buffaloes at the Huntsman Center. The Utes are coming off their 3-1 set victory over the No 13 Oregon Ducks last Tuesday night. Another victory over a ranked opponent, and another chance to do the same Friday.
They will say goodbye to six seniors playing their final home match for the Utes. Lea Adolph, Bailey Bateman, Shelby Dalton, Kalee Kirby, Makenzie Moea'i, and Chelsey Schofield-Olsen will step on the court for the last time. Hoping that it isn't their last, and they are selected for an at large spot in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
Utah is in the midst of winning six of their last seven, including four over ranked opponents (USC, UCLA, Washington, and Oregon). Closing out the regular season with a win would be just the momentum head coach Beth Launiere's team needs to make the post season.
The Utes lost in Boulder to the Buffaloes earlier this season 3-2. The Utah holds a 7-6 edge over Colorado in the all time series.
