According to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, Larry Krystkowiak has strengthened his rotation by landing JUCO PF Chris Reyes. Reyes, who checks in at 6'7, 205 pounds, had visited the Utes over the weekend of February 22 and will have three years of eligibility remaining upon arriving in Salt Lake City.
Reyes began his college career at St. Mary's before transferring to Citrus College, a junior college located in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendora. Reyes averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds per game while at the JUCO level.
Described as "an immediate impact guy" by Rothstein, Reyes will give Utah added depth in the interior. Coming out of La Verne, CA in high school, Reyes originally picked the Gaels over offers from UC Santa Barbara, Gonzaga, and Boston College. This time around he spurned interest from Arizona State, Utah State, and Boise State to choose the Utes.
