There has been a lot of negativity surrounding Utah’s new football uniforms. However, I see some great potential in them. What has been released is not exactly what the team will wear. The mountain pattern on the sleeves should look better with shorter sleeves, and I expect that the mountain pattern will be more detailed on the actual jerseys. Recruits love uniform combinations, and I think players can be sold on these because having the mountains is a nice tie in to the region. Below is a mock up Justin Dahl did for Twitter of what the jerseys might look like on the players, and I think these actually look pretty good. I am not saying they are the greatest uniforms in the world, but I think fans should reserve judgment until the real jerseys are released. The real jerseys will look better on the players in a professional photo shoot rather a picture of a fan jersey.

For an example, compare UCLA’s LA Steel photo shoot
