After pulling in a couple of commits a few weeks back, Utah lost a commitment Saturday from JC wide receiver Brandon Snell. Snell, a 6-foot 2-inch 190-pound speedy wide out, is a 3-star recruit out of Garden City Community College in Kansas.
Utah has been after Snell for a couple of seasons now, and has been a commit for a long time, but he has decided to reopen his recruiting. With the loss of Snell, Utah's 2015 commit list has the following names:
Cody Barton - LB - Sandy, UT
Jake Grant - OL - Scottsdale, AZ
Michael Jacquet - ATH - Beaumont, TX
Chayden Johnson - K - South Jordan, UT
Zach Lindsay - OL - Snow College
Justice Murphy - WR - Vancouver, WA
Donzale Roddie - WR - Paramount, CA
George Wilson - WR - Tustin, CA
Tuli Wily-Matagi - ATH - Kahuku, HI
The bad news is the Utes lost a long time target that would bring some more speed to the outside. The good news is that signing day is still seven months away, so there is plenty of time to find another body to fill that spot.
Here is the tweet from Snell and his decommitment:
I been doing a lot of thinking and I'm deciding to decommit from the University of Utah and open back up to all of my recruiting— Brandon Snell (@The__1_And_Only) July 26, 2014
