Utes Will Welcome Bengals with Striped Stadium

For the second year, Utah will stripe the stadium, appropriately, against the Idaho State Bengals.

After a highly-successful debut a year ago, "Stripe the Stadium" returns to Rice-Eccles Stadium for Utah’s season-opening football game against Idaho State on Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Utah's athletic department encourages Utes fans to wear red or white, depending on where their seats are located in the stadium.

Color codes are listed below and can also be found on an interactive map found at http://www.utahutes.com/stripethestadium.

Red Sections: S1, S3, S5, W6, W7, W9, W11, W13, W15, W17, W18, N21, N23, N26, N28, N29, E32, E34, E36; Student Section: E38, E40-E42; Tower Section: 401-404, 405-408, C1, C5, 501-506, 512-517

White Sections: S2, S4, W8, W10, W12, W14, W16, N19, N20, N22, N24, N25, N27, E30, E31, E33, E35, E37; Student Section: E39; Tower Section: C2, C3, C4, 507-511

While many in the local media said Utah fans would never pull it off, a standing room only crowd of 45,237 successfully striped Rice-Eccles Stadium last fall for Utah’s win over Utah State.
