After a two game road trip to Oklahoma last weekend, Utah soccer is excited to play at home this week, a place where they did not lose a game last season. "The girls love playing here," said head coach Rich Manning. This sentiment was echoed by several players as well. "We are all really excited. I know that there are so many families coming in from out of state," said Katie Taylor. "It's gonna be quite amazing. I love the home game feeling," said Kaycee Buckley.

After finishing third in the Pac-12 last season, the team expects teams to be gunning for them this year. "They are going to the see a Pac-12 target on our back," said Manning. "We are going to take everyone's best shot," said Taylor.

"I think they will both be similar. They are really well coached teams," said Manning. "They will defend really well," Manning continued. Having the home atmosphere will hopefully help Utah score a few goals against the tough defenses to get the win in each game.

One Utah soccer player has extra motivation against Cal State Northridge. Buckley's club coach is the head coach for Cal State Northridge. She also has several former teammates playing for Cal State Northridge. Buckley is excited to see her former coach and teammates but wants to have the reunion happen after Utah wins the game.

Utah takes on Boise State at 7:30 PM MT on Friday and Cal State Northridge on Sunday at 1 PM MT. Both games will be at Ute Field.
