Branden Bowen Commits to Utah

Utah lands the talented big man from Corner Canyon HS

Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Good news today with the commitment of three-star offensive tackle Branden Bowen to Utah. The Corner Canyon HS big man is a behemoth at 6' 7", 315 pounds. Watching his film*, Bowen is nasty and uses his overwhelming size to his advantage. He is also surprisingly athletic for a guy his size. Especially given his size, Bowen's upside is huge, but he is still a very raw football player, so he likely will not make an immediate impact for Utah but should be good to great down the road. From what I have heard, he has made strides so far during his senior year playing right tackle. Bowen is best friends with current Utah commit Cody Barton, younger brother of Utah offensive tackle Jackson Barton. Hopefully Bowen is the first of many in-state players to commit to Utah. We will continue to keep you updated on Utah recruiting.
