Utah returns home for the annual homecoming game with a 3-0 record, the first 3-0 start for the Utes since 2010. Coming off of a big road win against Michigan, Utah's confidence is as high as it's been since joining the Pac-12. Now the Utes turn their focus solely toward conference play, and it kicks off today versus the Washington State Cougars.
Utah is looking to win their Pac-12 opener for the first time since joining the conference. In what may be a rainy Rice-Eccles Stadium, Utah is floating at around being an 11-13 point favorite. Travis Wilson leads the Utes into the contest after a solid game against Michigan, after a very scary fall in the 2nd quarter. After week-by-week improvements by the Utah defense, this will be the biggest test for the Utah secondary this week.
Utah is 2-1 against the Cougs since joining the conference, but lost last season up in Pullman 47-35, with Adam Schulz at QB in the place of the then-injured Travis Wilson. Wazzou is coming off of a close loss to the No. 2 ranked Oregon Ducks last week in Pullman, 38-31.
