Coaches Poll for Week Three

Utah's schedule is still loaded with five ranked teams, and seven total teams receiving votes in the Coaches Poll.

Steve Dykes

The updated Coaches Poll was just released, and Utah's schedule is still littered with ranked teams. Oregon remained at 4th, while USC jumped to 10th from 14th after beating Stanford, and ASU jumped to 14th from 16th after beating New Mexico. UCLA dropped from 11th to 12th, after an extremely unimpressive first two weeks of the season. It seems UCLA is in need of some offensive playmakers, outside of Mr. Brett Hundley. And Stanford dropped from 6th to 16th, which seems a bit excessive considering they lost by three points to a team ranked right behind them. Regardless, I think we'll see Stanford work their way back up the polls in the coming weeks.

As for others receiving votes from the conference, Washington comes in at what would be 32nd, Arizona 38th and Oregon State 39th. Washington and OSU surprises me a little bit too, because they've been shaky the first two weeks of the season, just like UCLA.

If Utah goes into Ann Arbor and takes care of business, they will likely start receiving votes from the coaches, but they need to focus on this BYE week to be ready for the Wolverines.

Here is the full top 25 from the Coaches.

My most overrated team is: I'm going to go with Alabama. I feel like just because they are Alabama they are receiving the benefit of the doubt, and to be 2nd seems a bit high to me, at least at this point in the season. The fact that they are replacing a quarterback, and Oregon isn't, and 'Bama is ranked higher than Oregon is suspect to me.

Honorable mention for most overrated team(s): The entire Big-10! Need I say more?

My most underrated team is: I'm going with Oregon. Yeah, the 4th ranked team in the country is underrated. They are better than both OU and Alabama, and Marcus Mariota is looking fantastic early in the season.

Who is overrated after two weeks? Who is underrated? Let us know!
