Runnin' Utes Move Up to #8 in AP Top 25

The Utes move up a spot in the newest College Basketball Top-25

The Runnin' Utes are rolling, with a 3-0 Pac-12 start, and those three wins have come by a combined 81 points. After last night, and Arizona losing to Oregon State on the road, the Utes find themselves not only alone atop the Pac-12 standings, but also the highest ranked team in the conference. The Utes moved up from 9th to 8th today, while Arizona dropped to 10th. The announcement of today's rankings assures a top-10 matchup down in Tucson on Saturday. The Utes are also knocking on the door of #7 Wisconsin.

Currently, the Wildcats are the only remaining ranked team on Utah's schedule. Utah is also highly ranked in the ESPN BPI at #8 and the RPI at #10.

If Utah can sweep the Arizona road trip, a tall task for sure, then Utah will have a major leg up on a regular season Pac-12 Championship, and building momentum for a top seed in the NCAA tournament.
