Three-star cornerback Dayan Lake of Northridge High School (Layton, Utah), a one-time from BYU commit, has reopened his recruitment. Utah appears to be in the mix for the 5-11, 190-pounder, although reports are that Lake may be hearing from Oregon and Alabama. Lake has been clocked at 4.39 in the 40 and would help solidify Utah's secondary. His film* shows a quick blitzer off the edge, as well as a sure tackler. (As Kyle Whittingham's defense employs several corner and safety blitz packages, Lake would be a nice asset.) A lot of his highlights show him on offense as a running back or receiver. In either case, he displays quickness, shiftiness, and the intelligence to follow his blockers, but also a burst of speed once he sees a hole. *All stats and film courtesy of Hudl.
