The Utes have moved into striking distance of the College Football Playoff Top 4 by moving up to No. 10 in the latest CFP Top 25 poll. The Utes defeated Washington this past week to move them to 8-1 on the season, and one of the top rated one loss teams on the season. The Utes are behind No. 7 Stanford, who moved up four spots this week. If the Utes and Cardinal win out, then they will match up against one another in the Pac-12 Championship Game, giving each other a top 10 opponent, and more ammo to get into the playoff.
The Utes also have No. 19 UCLA still on the schedule in a couple of weeks, while Stanford has No. 4 Notre Dame the last game of the regular season. With still a couple weeks left in the regular season, and the conference championship games, the Utes will have chances to move up.
