After an awful performance against Wichita State last Saturday, the Runnin' Utes return to the hardwood to try and work out the kinks before a matchup with Duke. The Utes were careless with the ball against the Shockers, and really got blown out of the gym.
It's going to be big for the Utes' point guards to get going, because when they've been really pressured they've wilted, against WSU and Miami. Brandon Taylor hasn't played well at all this season, and it will be big if he can get on track. He had 6 turnovers against the Shockers, and is playing a bit out of position, as he's more of a shooting guard.
Utah needs to work on their three point defense, as well. Coach Krystkowiak said that Savannah State is much more of an attack the basket team, so this game may not be the best for working on that, but help and on ball defense may get a test.
