Jeremiah Poutasi NFL Draft Combine Results

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Day one of the NFL combine is in the books, and some Utes are trying to make the grade and get noticed by NFL teams, either to be drafted or invited to a training camp. Jeremiah Poutasi, an early entrant into the NFL Draft, was the lone Ute to participate on Friday, as it was a day for offensive linemen, tight ends and specialists (punters and kickers).

Let's take a look at how he did:

40 yard dash: 5.32 seconds - 24th fastest among offensive linemen (4.98 was the fastest).

Bench press: 26 reps - T-13th (37 was the most)

Vertical jump: 26.6 inches - T-30th (33.5 was the highest)

Broad jump: 95 inches - 32nd (113 was the most)

3 cone drill: 8.09 seconds - T-24th (7.25 was the fastest)

20 yard shuffle: 4.89 seconds - 33rd (4.33 was the fastest)

Overall, not a bad day for Poutasi, but he's got a ways to go and hopefully his pro day will help his stock. Regardless, with his size and length, Poutasi should get a shot.

Saturday we'll see Dres Anderson and Kaelin Clay taking center stage for Ute Nation.
