Senior forward Taryn Wicijowski and freshman wing Tanaeya Boclair were recognized on the Pac-12 Women's Basketball All-Conference teams, Commissioner Larry Scott announced on Tuesday after a vote by the league's head coaches.
Wicijowski received honorable mention on both the All-Conference and All-Defensive Teams, while Boclair took honorable mention for the All-Freshman Team.
"It's always great to see individuals within our program recognized by coaches throughout the league for their play throughout the season," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said.
Wicijowski was named to Pac-12 All-Conference Teams for the third time in her career (also recognized in 2011-12 and 2012-13). She has seven games with 20 or more points, including two of Utah's last five outing. The Regina, Saskatchewan native has posted eight double-doubles to go with 21 double-figure scoring games and 10 games with 10 or more rebounds. She has led or tied for the Ute team lead in rebounding 18 times, scoring 16 times, assists 12 times and blocks 11 times through 29 games in 2014-15.Wicijowski is currently listed among the top 13 in six different Pac-12 statistical categories:
- third with 6.5 defensive rebounds per game
- fourth in rebounding (9.0 per game) (67th in NCAA)
- eighth in scoring (14.6 points per game) (201st in NCAA)
- eighth in offensive rebounding (2.6 orpg)
- ninth in shooting percentage (.480, 159-331) (82nd in NCAA)
- 13th in blocks (1.0 bpg)
In league games only, Wicijowski is in the top 10 in five different categories:
- sixth with 7.9 rebounds per game
- seventh with 5.6 defensive rebounds per game
- ninth with 13.9 points per game
- 10th with a .466 (95-204) shooting percentage
- tied for 10th with 2.3 offensive rebounds per contest
Wicijowski is also a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team and All-District VIII Team selection. She scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and nine boards with five assists against Washington on Feb. 13 and went for 20 points and 11 rebounds versus Washington State on Feb. 15. She totaled 15 points against Oregon on Feb. 20 after going for 10 points and eight boards against No. 7/8 Oregon State on Feb. 22. Wicijowski tied her Pac-12 season high with 14 rebounds to go with 12 points for her eighth double-double at No. 10 Arizona State on Feb. 27.
Boclair is currently second on team with 8.8 points per game and a .419 field goal percentage (95-227). She has started all 29 games and is third on the Ute roster with 8.7 points per game in league play after going or 13 double-figure scoring games, including six of the last 11 games.
Boclair scored 12 points, off a 6-for-9 shooting performance, with three rebounds in the league opener at California on Jan. 3. After going for 12 points at Colorado on Jan. 14, Boclair poured in 14 points at Washington on Jan. 25. She was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Feb. 2 after going for a season-high 16 points and seven rebounds against Arizona on Jan. 30 and 15 points, four boards and two steals against No. 11 Arizona State on Feb. 1. She notched her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 boards at UCLA on Feb. 8 and registered 10 points, three boards and tied season best with three assists and three steals against Washington on Feb. 13.
