Five Amazing Moments of the 2014-15 Runnin' Utes Season

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

With the end of the season for the Runnin' Utes, one has to look back and see how great the year was. There were some amazing plays this season, and these will rank up there as five of the best from 2014-2015.

The Utes were getting blown out in Kansas City vs the Kansas Jayhawks, and the first half was about to come to a close, but this dunk by Delon Wright signaled the game was not over.  It was the start of a tremendous comeback by the Utes that came up a little short.

The Utes played host to one of the bigger games they have had in a while this season. The No 8 Witchita State Shockers came in to Salt Lake City and walked out of the Huntsman Center with a loss. This dunk by Dallin Bachynski brought the house down. Add the assist Brekkot Chapman, and that made it truly an amazing play.

A trip to Provo always seems to be eventful. This season was no exception. This steal by Wright which taken coast to coast, and was capped off by a behind the back dribble and dunk. The play brought out the, "OH" and "WOW" by the Cougar faithful.

One of the knocks on Delon Wright was his inability to hit the three pointer. A little birdie must have whispered this speculation in his ear before the Pac-12 tournament. He was 4 for 4 from three point range in the Pac 12 tournament versus the Stanford Cardinal. That would have been the talk of the game, had Wright not had his rebound jam of an Isaiah Wright miss.

Brandon Taylor big hit shot after big shot behind the arc this season. After trading blows for most of the game, this three point make by Taylor closed the door on any chance of a Beaver comeback. It sent the crowd in Corvallis to the exits.

The Utes had many amazing plays this season, and many by Delon Wright. The production of the Bob Cousy Award Winner will be hard to replace, but it's great to look back and at a few of his, and his teammates best plays of the season, and how it was one to remember.
