Former Ute, and sixth round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kaelin Clay signed on the dotted line today with his NFL club. He's only the second rookie so far for the Bucs to sign a deal, right after No. 1 overall pick
Clay isn't assured of a spot on the 53 man roster at this point, but he's at least taken another step toward that goal. As of now it sounds like it's special teams or bust for Clay with Tampa Bay, but hopefully they give him a shot at wide receiver, because he came around nicely the last half of the 2014 season.
Clay joins Nate Orchard with Cleveland, and Eric Rowe with the Eagles to sign their rookie contracts. The next step for all these rookies are the various camps throughout the summer, until training camp begins late in the summer.
Thank you to the @TBBuccaneers organization for this amazing opportunity I am truly blessed #Bucs pic.twitter.com/4vBE3v2nn1
