SALT LAKE CITY - Utah men's basketball student-athlete Delon Wright and gymnast Georgia Dabritz were announced today as recipients of the prestigious Tom Hansen Conference Medal.

This award is given annually to each Pac-12 member institution's outstanding senior male and female student-athlete based on the greatest combination of scholarship, athletics and leadership.

This past season, Wright captured the Bob Cousy Award for the nation's top point guard. He became the first Pac-12 player to earn the honor. Just last week, Wright became the first Ute to be selected in the NBA Draft since 2005, going in the first round with the 20th pick to the Toronto Raptors.

Wright won a number of accolades this season while leading Utah to the Sweet 16. He earned a spot on the John R. Wooden All-American Team, and was also named a Sporting News All-American, as well as an AP, USBWA and NABC Second Team All-American. Wright also captured the USBWA District VIII Player of the Year, became Utah's first two-time All-Pac-12 selection and once again, earned a spot on the league's All-Defensive Team.

Dabritz is a 16-time All-America gymnast, who won the NCAA uneven bar championship and led the Utes to a runner-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Championships. The 2015 Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the AAI Award winner as the top senior gymnast in the nation, she is also a three-time Pac-12 All-Academic honoree and a two-time NACGC Scholar All-American.

An eight-time NCAA Regional champion and six-time Pac-12 champion, Dabritz won every major Pac-12 award during her career—Gymnast of the Year (2015), Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2015), Specialist of the Year (2014) and Freshman of the Year (2012) —while leading Utah to back-to-back Pac-12 Championships in 2014 and 2015.

Conference medal winners have been named every year since 1961. In 2009, the Pac-12 renamed the award the Tom Hansen Conference Medal in honor of Hansen, who retired at the end of June 2009 after serving for 26 years as Commissioner of the Pac-10.

The 24 Tom Hansen Medal recipients from around the conference will be featured on the Pac-12 Networks' Pride of the Pac special on Thursday July 9 at 8 p.m. MT.
