SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's basketball contest against Duke, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., will tip-off at 12 p.m. ET (10 a.m. MT) and will be televised live on ESPN.The rematch from last season's NCAA Regional Semifinal in Houston, Texas, will be just the fifth meeting between the two squads. Despite a late-game rally, Utah fell to Duke (63-57) in the Sweet 16
match-up and the Blue Devils would go on to win the NCAA National Championship a few weeks later in Indianapolis,Ind .Utah is just 1-3 all-time against Duke with its lone victory coming back on March 14, 1970. The Utes defeated the Blue Devils 78-75 in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), which happened to be played in New York, N.Y.
Utah returns four of its top five scoring and rebounding leaders from a squad that went 26-9 overall last season, while Duke returns just one starter from a national title team that went 35-4 overall.
