It's the final game of the regular season for the Runnin' Utes, and its been an up and down season, and fortunately, it's in the up side of the season right now.
In the midst of a 6 game winning streak, the Utes look to lock up the No. 2 seed in the Pac-12 tournament tonight. In the process they will be saying goodbye to some very important seniors. The core of Jordan Loveridge, Brandon Taylor, Dakari Tucker, Jeremey Olsen (Medically retired) and Austin Eastman will be saying goodbye to the Huntsman Center. Of course, it's also believed that the Utes will be saying goodbye to Jakob Poeltl, as the sophomore sensation is believed to be going into the NBA Draft after the season.
This class has been the foundation behind Utah's resurgence, and will be remembered fondly for doing so. The names of Loveridge, Taylor and Tucker (as well as Poeltl) will forever be in Utah lore, and are names that Utah fans should always love.
Of course, the Utes need to beat Colorado, whom they beat earlier in the season in Boulder on a buzzer beating layup by Lorenzo Bonam. CU is still trying to ensure a NCAA tournament bid, as well as possible seeding.
So sit back, and let's enjoy these seniors at home, one last time.
