Former Utah running back Devontae Booker held his own pro day today in his hometown of Sacramento, Calif. at his former high school, Grant Union High School. Booker was not able to participate in Utah's pro day because of the knee injury he suffered against Arizona in the 2015 football season. He was limited to just bench press at the NFL Combine. Per Gil Brandt NFL Media senior analyst for NFL.com (article here), 18 NFL teams had representatives at Booker's pro day, including the running back coaches from the Oakland Raider and Seattle Seahawks. Booker told me in the past one of the running backs he modeled himself after was former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who retired this offseason. Brandt also wrote that "Booker is 70 percent back to normal, but was not able to perform any of the runs or jumps at his personal pro day." Former Utah quarterback Travis Wilson threw Booker passes during his pro day. In his two seasons with Utah, Booker posted 14 100-yard rushing games (which tied the school record). He was twice an All-Pac-12 selection (first-team in 2014 and second-team in 2015).
