Per Scout's Andrew Gorringe, Shyne will be a very rare 4 to play 3 JUCO player. Gorringe also stated that the 6'0", 200 lb running back rushed for 734 yards and 8 TD's as a freshman last season at American River.

In Spring football, assistant head coach and running backs coach Dennis Erickson told me that the team was looking for a third running back to step up alongside Joe Williams and Troy McCormick. Shyne will players like Marcel Brooks-Brown for that role in fall camp. The Utah coaching staff always seems to pull in at least one player like Shyne around this time of year every year.
