Utes get their QB. Shelley is a big time player. Threw for 3,716 yds & 39 TDs, ran for 1,661 yds & 21 TD's last year https://t.co/1l48ShNvah— Andrew Gorringe (@AGorringeScout) July 31, 2016
Shelley is a true dual-threat quarterback. Utah has been focusing on recruiting dual-threat quarterbacks primarily the last few years. What Shelley does well that makes him an ideal fit for Utah's offense is that he can run if he has to, but he does not always do that. He also uses his athleticism to extend plays in the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. Overall, I think this is a great pickup for the Utes.
