Utah’s annual blackout game is scheduled for this coming Friday, against the USC Trojans. The game kicks off at 7pm at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Utah’s going with the same blackout look they’ve gone with for the past couple of seasons, including the large, chrome drum and feather on the matte black helmet.
Utah also blacked out USC the last time the Trojans were in town, and that is the game where Utah finally beat them with a last second Kaelin Clay touchdown catch. Fans are encouraged (heavily) to wear only black to the game to create one of the best atmospheres in college football.
Utah is coming off of a blowout win over San Jose on Saturday, while USC is coming in losing two of their first three to Alabama and Stanford. Utah fans should expect a hungry and desperate USC team to come into Rice-Eccles on Friday night. USC won’t want to fall in 0-2 hole in the conference and 1-3 on the season.
