Life in the Pac-12 is awesome, the level of competition is great, the recruits that Utah’s getting is awesome, but the start times for a lot of games are really bad, and the one against Arizona in two weeks is not good. It was announced today, by the Pac-12 and Utah, that the game against Arizona will kick off at 8pm Mountain Time on Fox Sports 1. The good news is that the game is on one of the major TV cable networks, so there’s some exposure and desire from people to watch Utah football, but with a 10pm ET kick, we know people on the East Coast will be asleep during the first quarter.
With the game in Salt Lake, isn’t a 7pm start time too much to ask for? Alas, it is what it is, and it’s something we’ve had to get accustomed to since joining the league. At least it’s not as bad at the 8:30 kick against San Jose, which was on the unfindable channel of CBS Sports Network.
.@Utah_Football vs. Arizona on Oct. 8 will kick at 8 MT/7 PT on Fox Sports 1. #goutes
