Utah jumps into Pac-12 play today against Colorado at the Huntsman Center. After a very soft non-conference schedule, we’ll be able to learn a little bit more about this Utah team today against a tough CU squad. The big question for the Utes is whether or not Kyle Kuzma is going to play with a bad ankle, that he hurt in the tournament a week ago against San Francisco.
It’ll also be worth watching how well this young team responds to a tough nosed Buffalo team, especially David Collette in the middle. Lorenzo Bonam has struggled with turnovers in the non-conference, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can reign that in starting today. Also, how will Sedric Barefield play? After a 35 point outburst, he struggled in the last two games, and was dealing with foul trouble.
It’s conference play, which is going to be a battle until early March!
