Utah landed three-star Chula Vista (Calif.) Otay Ranch athlete Devin Lloyd. Lloyd was formerly committed to UNLV. The 6’ 3”, 215 pound athlete has a 40-yard dash time of 4.58 listed on his Hudl page. He is the No. 19 rated athlete in the country according to Scout.com.

Lloyd can play safety or wide receiver as he shows in his film. He is a big, physical wide receiver. He can go up and get the football, has good speed in the open field, and is hard to tackle. As a safety, he is always around the football. He has great ball skills and can deliver a big hit. He fits the mold of a big, physical Utah defensive back. While he might not be the highest rated recruit, I am excited about Lloyd. His combination of size and speed as a high school student are not common. If he comes in and works hard at Utah, he will be a great player for the U.
