Utah Lands Three-Star Running Back T.J. Green

Another day, another commitment for the Utah Utes. This morning they landed three-star Chandler (Ariz.) Chandler running back T.J. Green. Green was committed to Oregon State until he took a visit to Utah. Shortly after getting home, he decommitted from the Beavers and opened up his recruitment. The Utah coaches stayed on him and landed the commitment from the highly-rated running back from powerhouse Chandler High School. Green, the top-rated running back in the Grand Canyon State.

I am a big fan of Green. I think he will fit perfectly into Utah’s new offense under offensive coordinator Troy Taylor and running back coach Kiel McDonald. At 5’ 11”, 180 with good speed, Green is an all-purpose back, who can run and catch well. His film shows he can bust off big runs both up and the middle and to the outside. He is also a lethal receiving threat out of the backfield. He runs great routes, include short, intermediate, and deep routes out of the backfield. His receiving skills will allow him to shine in Utah’s more pass-friendly offense under Taylor.

Green is the second commitment for Utah in less than 24 hours. Utah also secured a commitment from Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta three-star cornerback Javelin Guidry.
