Wylie (Texas) Wiley East four-star running back Eno Benjamin will announce his commitment at the U.S. Army All-American Game on Saturday Jan. 7. Benjamin released a top 6 of Arizona State, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Utah. Benjamin, the No. 8 running back and No. 143 overall player in the 247Sports Composite ranking, is 5’ 10”, 203 pounds. The 247Sports Crystal Ball has Arizona State leading, and all of the recent predictions have come in for the Sun Devils. Texas is the only other team with recent predictions.
Benjamin was a one-time Iowa commit before decommitting in October and opening up his recruitment. He is a finalist for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award. Benjamin has a great combination of speed and power. His skill set is not unlike that of Joe Williams. He has great vision and makes great cuts in space.
Benjamin would be a huge get for Utah if they could land him. He would be one of the highest rated high school players ever to commit to the Utes. His main recruiter is wide receivers coach Guy Holliday, who has done well recruiting the state of Texas this year for Utah. While none of the experts see Benjamin coming to Utah, I would not totally count out the Utes. Holliday is a great recruiter, and running backs have had a lot of success at Utah.
