The time was announced for the game between the No. 20 Utah Utes (4-0, 1-0 Pac-12) and the No. 14 USC Trojans (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12), and it is getting arguably the best time slot, primetime (6:00 p.m.) MT on ABC. This means that Kirk Herbstreit will likely be on the call. The last time Utah played on ABC was in the afternoon slot in 2014 for their game at Michigan. The Utes have not played in the primetime 6 p.m. MT time slot on ABC since joining the Pac-12.
The Utah Utes face a tough home test on Saturday night against the Stanford Cardinal before their game at the USC Trojans, who face the Oregon State Beavers at home this Saturday as they look to try to bounce back from their loss on Friday night at the Washington State Cougars.
While this could certainly change pending the results of week six (especially with Utah as home underdogs to Stanford), Utah at USC is currently the only game in week seven between ranked foes, which is likely why it was chosen for primetime. The eyes of the nation will be watching the game between the two top teams in the Pac-12 South as the Utes look to claim their first victory at USC since 1916.
