Utah at Oregon open thread

NCAA Football: Stanford at Utah Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Two teams on a slide are meeting today at Autzen Stadium in Oregon. Oregon will likely be without their starting QB again, while Utah’s should be more healthy than he was a week ago. The biggest storyline in this game is the return of Darren Carrington to Oregon, the place he called home for his entire career. Oregon was looking improved this year before injuries started to happen.

Last week, the Utes came out flat and just didn’t have it, and hopefully that’s a wakeup call for the squad, because they need to get things turned around quickly. A win today restores confidence and gets things rolling the right way for the last 13 of the season. Hopefully Huntley is more healthy, as are Fitts, Anae and Hansen. The Utes are also down a few guys due to the targeting calls last week for the first half.

Here’s hoping the Utes come out with fire and focus.

Go Utes!
