After a bye week, the Utes welcome the Cardinal of Stanford to Rice-Eccles Stadium. The Utes are home underdogs to a two loss, unranked team, which is a bit odd to me. Don’t get me wrong, Stanford is a good team, and is a very tough opponent, but the lack of respect Utah has gotten this past week is a bit mind boggling to me. It probably shouldn’t, because Utah hasn’t gotten much respect over the last couple of decades, if ever.
A lot of eyes for the Utes will be on who is running onto the field to start the game. Tyler Huntley will not play, so Troy Williams is going to get the start. Kylie Fitts is suited up, but will he play? Bradlee Anae should play, so that’s a big deal fo the Utes. The more defensive lineman the better, as they’ll need as many bodies as possible to slow down Bryce Love. For the Utes, that’s the key. Contain Love, and they’ll win the game. That’s a strength on strength match up for the Utes, and hopefully they take care of business.
