Utah Red Rocks Gymnastics Preview Friday

Alex Stark

The annual Utah Red Rocks Preview will be held for the 15th time on Friday Dec. 15 at 7:00 p.m. MT in the Huntsman Center. All of the seats for the event are free and general admission, so the earlier you arrive (the doors open at 5:30 p.m. MT), the better seat you get. Parking is also free. A free schedule magnet will be given to the first 1,000 fans to arrive at the meet. Also, after the meet, the Utah gymnasts will sign autographs, signing the 2018 team posters. Santa and Mrs. Claus, a balloon artist, face painter, poster-making station and life-sized Swoop bobble head will be at the Kid Zone, which opens at 5:30, and has moved to the concourse at portals 13-15.

The meet will also be broadcast live on ESPN700 for the first time in school history, which will also broadcast every regular-season and post-season Utah gymnastics meet with Mike Lageschulte on the play by play and Georgia Dabritz, the former All-American and NCAA champion gymnast for the Red Rocks providing color commentary

The meet will feature fireworks and the 2018 intro video prior to the start of the meet. For vault and bars, the Red Rocks will move as a team and then will split into two groups for beam and floor and alternate competitors. This event will mark the debuts of freshmen Alexia Burch and Sydney Soloski. The 2018 Red Rocks squad returns five All-Americans and 10 letterwinners from the 2017 Pac-12 Championship team that finished fifth at the NCAA Championships, including 2017 NCAA floor champion and all-around runner up sophomore MyKayla Skinner.

If you want to add to Utah’s record-breaking season ticket sales, here is the pertinent information per Utah Athletics:
