It’s gameday, after almost four weeks off the Utes are looking to finish off the season on the right foot with a win in the Heart of Dallas Bowl against West Virginia. The Utes are hoping for a strong finish to an up and down season.
The last time we saw the Utes against Colorado, the team put up one of their best performances of the season. Zack Moss was a beast, rushing for almost 200 yards and running over and through CU defenders all game long. Utah’s offensive line looked strong, giving Moss nice lanes all game long. Troy Williams stepped in for an injured Tyler Huntley and had a very nice and efficent game. The offense looked sharp and clean.
On defense, the Utes were stout most of the game. Considering the number of starters they were missing, it was a strong effort. Utah’s run defense was great, which made CU one dimensional.
WVU is coming in beat up, down their starting QB and their starting running back is skipping the game, which makes them seem dangerous to me, because of the unknown. They have receivers for days, which is a problem for a beat up secondary. The hope is the Utes can disrupt this young QB to force him into mistakes.
It’s an early game so let’s get rolling!
Go Utes!
