Did you think today was all about football recruiting? Well, if you did, you were wrong because the Utah Runnin’ Utes basketball program landed a commitment from one of their top targets in Henderson (Nev.) Findlay College Prep four-star small forward / power forward Donnie Tillman. This is a great get for the Utah Runnin’ Utes and head coach Larry Krystkowiak. He also had offers from Boston College, California, Creighton, Iowa State, Marquette, TCU, UNLV, USC, and Virginia Tech among others. The 6’ 7”, 220 pound small forward is rated the No. 38 small forward according to ESPN. He is originally from Detroit, Mich.
I am more than blessed to say that I have commit to the University of Utah #GoUtes pic.twitter.com/HsRPQ7OStr

He does not yet have any film on Hudl, but he clearly can play. There is a reason why so many good basketball programs are recruiting him. This was a very pleasant surprise on National Signing Day for the Runnin’ Utes, who just did not want to be left out of the commitment frenzy.
