The Utes are now fighting for their NCAA Tournament lives, as their only way to get in will be winning the Pac-12 Tournament, and that's one steep hill to climb. It starts tonight with the Utes taking on Cal, for the second time in three games. Utah beat up Cal by 30 just last week, and dropped a heart breaker to Cal in Berkeley in double overtime. Safe to say this matchup will probably be more like the first than the last.
Utah is expected to have David Collette, which is huge. Also suiting up should be Devon Daniels. What kind of impact will he have is yet to be determined. I think he should come off the bench, as Utah has found a pretty solid rotation and have been playing well the last three games. This is also the kind of game where Sedrick Barefield and Lorenzo Bonam could have a major impact. Bonam has been playing really well, and Barefield has shown some signs of life on the offensive side of the ball.
We're at the point of the season where as long as you win, you get to keep playing. Here's hoping we see Utah playing on Friday!
