Red vs. White Spring Game 2017 Open Thread

Wow, it’s a beautiful day at Rice-Eccles for some spring football. After a couple of years of some bad weather for this event, it’ll be nice to watch some football without rain or sleet.

It’s the White team, led by Troy Williams, against the Red team, led by Tyler Huntley. As customary in a lot of spring games, we won’t see some of the bigger names, but we’ll have a chance to see some of the up and comers, like Tyquez Hampton, the freshman that doesn’t look like a freshman wide receiver.

A lot of the fans here will be looking at the new look offense, and will probably see it be a little more pass happy, and you’ll see some different route combos, which is a welcome sight. By no means is the offense anywhere near complete, or will be near 100%, but you should get a taste for what could be coming in the fall. Of course, the offense has left a lot to be desired the last couple of spring games.

If you’re not at the game, join us here for the game!
