Garett Bolles projected to go in the 1st round by Mocking the Draft

The NFL Draft is tomorrow, and there are many mock drafts and projections out there, but I wanted to look at where a sister site on SB Nation, Mocking The Draft, has some of our Utes projected to go in the draft.

Their most recent write up has offensive tackle Garett Bolles going in the first round, at No. 23 to the New York Giants. Bolles spent one year at Utah, earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors.

Here’s the blurb they have on Bolles:

Another offensive lineman for the Giants. Ereck Flowers was a reach in the top 10 in 2015, and he’s played like one. At the least Bolles can provide competition at left tackle or take over on the right side.

They also analyzed 93 different mock drafts, which also had Bolles going to the Giants. Other potential landing spots include the Denver Broncos at No. 20 and the Seattle Seahawks at No. 26. If he goes in the first round, Bolles will be the oldest offensive tackle taken ever in the first round in NFL draft history. He would also be the first Utah player taken in the first round since Star Lotulelei was taken 14th overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2013 NFL Draft.

They have Bolles ranked No. 32 in the top 100 player big board. The other Ute in the top 100 is safety Marcus Williams at No. 59.
