Utah’s highest rated commit in their 2018 recruiting class is San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills four-star quarterback Jack Tuttle. Tuttle committed to Utah back in December. Tuttle has been solid on his commitment even with powerhouse Alabama extending the talented California passer extending him an offer. Tuttle is competing this weekend at the Elite 11. After day one, Tuttle is receiving praise from many in the recruiting industry.

247Sports writer Luke Stampini included Tuttle as one of the top 11 performers from day one at No. 9 saying:

“Utah commit Jack Tuttle flashed a live arm that was able to get the ball to his receivers quickly. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder put the ball on his receivers regularly, but the routes that allowed him to reach back and rip the football — deep outs, cover-2 hole shots, etc. — is where he excelled the most.”

There are five 247Sports Composite quarterbacks competing in the event, and yet Tuttle was called a top five prospect by several people.

Kyle Bonagura of ESPN.com praised Tuttle, saying:

“There is obviously a lot of good players at the Elite 11 finals, but one guy who really stood out today was Utah commit Jack Tuttle. He was smooth in everything he did, delivered accurate balls with tight spirals and was easily one of the five best performers of the day.”

Here’s a video of one of Tuttle’s drills curtesy of Scout’s Blair Angulo. He shows excellent footwork. He shows the ability to extend the play and deliver an accurate pass on the run.

Our colleagues over at SBNation Recruiting posted this video, which shows Tuttle throwing third. He has impressive arm strength to get the ball to the boundary over a defender.

Finally, here are some thoughts from Tuttle:

The Elite 11 Finals will continue today and tomorrow. The top 11 players from the event will be named the Elite 11 and will advance to the Opening Finals in Beaverton, Ore. June 28-July 3.
