It was announced yesterday that the Utah football program will play Southern Utah University in the 2024 season. While the date will not be approved by the Pac-12 Conference until April of 2024, it is likely to occur on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024 and would therefore be the first game of the season. Utah beat Southern Utah 24-0 to start the 2016 season, the only meeting between the two schools. Utah also has a game scheduled against Southern Utah in the 2022 season. The only other nonconference game on the schedule so far for the 2024 season is a home game against Baylor.
