After a long time without Utah football it is finally back! The Utes will take the field for the first time in 2017 against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks for their first ever meeting between the two teams tonight, Thursday August 31 at 5:30 p.m. MT, at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Utah will have a lot of new faces playing in this game. True sophomore Tyler Huntley won the starting quarterback job over incumbent starter Troy Williams. Utah has four new starters on the offensive line. Possibly the biggest news of the offseason came when former Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington II decided to transfer to Utah. This will be his first game action in a Utah uniform. The defense has a lot of returning talent and experience in the front seven. The secondary however will feature four new starters. The defense will face an old school power rushing offense, so they better be ready for a physical battle.
