North Dakota at Utah Open Thread

Finally! After too many months of no football, we are back in Rice-Eccles Stadium to kick off the 2017 season against North Dakota. It is a gorgeous day outside, and fans are hoping that the team’s performance reflects the weather.

There are plenty of question marks for the Utes, including the new starting QB, Tyler Huntley. How will the true sophomore look in his first action as a starter? There’s no doubt that he’s a dynamic player, but will he be able to shake any jitters? Also, how will Darren Carrington look in his first action as a Ute? He has a ton of skill, and hopefully Huntley can hit him in the open field to make some big plays.

Lastly, the secondary, how does the retooled defensive backfield come together?

There are a lot of questions, and while we probably won’t get them all answered tonight, hopefully we get a better idea of what we have in store for the 2017 season.
