Utah at USC Open Thread

NCAA Basketball: Utah at UCLA Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Utah is on a three game skid and they need to pull out of it tonight against USC. Utah has lost to Arizona, Arizona State and UCLA in the last three games, all talented teams, and really didn’t have a chance against UCLA after another slow start. That’s the biggest key to tonight’s game for the Utes, don’t dig yourself into a hole you can’t get out of. It’d be nice if Utah started the game on a 12-5 run or something like that, to setup the rest of the game.

USC doesn’t like to play in the half court, and they love to get out and run, so the game plan for Utah is to limit the possessions and keep the game in the 60s. If this turns into an up and down game, the Utes will be toast. Sounds like Donnie Tillman is at least warming up, as is Jayce Johnson, so that could be a major bonus for Utah if they have those two bodies.

If you aren’t at the game, join us here and Go Utes!
