It’d feel so good if the Utes could knock off Arizona in Tucson today, which is what we’re all hoping for. It’s one of the toughest venues to play in, and Utah has had almost no luck against the Wildcats since joining the league. A win today and the Utes are in the thick of things to get that first round bye in the Pac-12 tournament, and are two games above .500 in Pac-12 play. A loss, and the Utes are basically where I think many of us thought they’d be at this point in the season.
The question in this game is how will Utah deal with Arizona’s size and athleticism in the paint. The ‘Cats have lot of big athletic bodies to throw at you, and they beat up Utah in that first game, especially when they built that 17 point first half lead. This is going to take a full 40 minute strong effort in this game, so let’s see if Utah has that in them this afternoon.
Go Utes!
