How to watch/listen/stream Arizona at Utah

NCAA Basketball: Northwestern State at Utah Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Runnin’ Utes return to the Huntsman Center Thursday night for their Pac -12 home opener where they will face off against the Arizona Wildcats.

The Utes are coming off a pair of road wins over two Oregon squads. Utah opened Pac -12 play with a 66-56 win over the Oregon Ducks this past Friday and then closed out the weekend with a 66-64 victory over the Oregon State Beavers on Sunday.

Despite losing three straight and falling completely out of the top-25 rankings, No. 14-ranked Arizona has rebounded with eight straight wins, which included an 84-78 victory over then No. 3-ranked Arizona State this past Saturday in Tucson.

The Wildcats are putting up solid numbers. They’ve averaged 83.25 points per game since their three-game losing streak and are ranked number one in the league shooting .395 from the three-point range.

The Utes are coming off of a strong finish against the Ducks. They overcame a 13-point deficit and shot 56 percent from the field in the second half. Justin Bibbins led the team with 19 points, Sedrick Barefield wasn’t far behind with 16, David Collette finished with 11 and Tyler Rawson put up 10. Hopefully that momentum will carry over into Thursday’s game.

As for the history between these two teams, it’s a close battle. The Wildcats won last season’s only meeting between the two teams, 66-56, in Tucson, but Utah won the previous meeting that was played at the Huntsman Center. The Utes earned a 70-64 win over the Wildcats back on Feb. 27, 2016.

Utah is 20-10 all-time when facing the Wildcats at home, but Arizona has managed to win seven of the past eight meetings in Salt Lake City, which dates back to 1993.
