How to Watch Arizona at Utah

NCAA Football: Utah at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Utes (3-2 1-2 Pac-12) host the Arizona Wildcats (3-3, 2-1 Pac-12) tonight at 8:00 p.m. MT at Rice-Eccles Stadium. The game will be nationally televised on ESPN.

The Utes are coming off their first Pac-12 win of the 2018 season after dominating the then No. 14 Stanford Cardinal on the road 40-21. The win over Stanford marked Utah’s first win over a Pac-12 North team since defeating the Oregon State Beavers in Corvallis, Ore. in 2016. It was also Utah’s first win over a ranked team since defeating the No. 23 California Golden Bears in 2015 (note Utah did beat the USC Trojans in 2016, who were unranked at the time but finished ranked No. 3 in the AP Poll).

Arizona’s season has not played out the way many expected. Heisman hopeful Khalil Tate has struggled under new head coach Kevin Sumlin and new offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone, who have failed to utilize Tate’s strengths as a runner and have instead forced him to be more of a passer. Arizona started out 0-2 in 2018 with losses to the BYU Cougars and the Houston Cougars. They have bounced back defeating both Oregon State and Cal in the Pac-12 but lost to USC in between those wins.

The Utes are double-digit favorites in this game. The last time Utah was a double-digit home favorite against a Pac-12 team from Arizona did not go well for the Utes, as they lost 30-10 last year to the Arizona State Sun Devils as 10-point favorites. Can Utah build off the momentum from the Stanford win against a team they are heavily favored against?
