According to UteZone, Utah Utes freshman quarterback Jack Tuttle is going to transfer. News has been swirling on Twitter about it all evening, but we have not heard anything official from either Tuttle or the athletic department. We will keep you posted when anything official from either source comes out.
Tuttle, an Elite 11 finalist, was the highest-rated quarterback to ever sign with Utah. After only six games in the program, he is transferring without playing a single down. We do not know anything about why he is transferring or where he intends to go. UteZone threw out these schools as possible options: Ohio State, Duke, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, and West Virginia, as it is unlikely he will stay in the Pac-12 due to the penalties associated with that.
In other (possibly related) quarterback news, San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon four-star quarterback Jayden Daniels will be officially visiting Utah this weekend for the game against the USC Trojans. Daniels is the No. 2 rated dual-threat quarterback in the 2019 class and the highest-rated uncommitted quarterback currently in the nation.
